Deciding to have a baby and planning for a family is an amazing stage of a woman’s life… this stage can also be filled with stress ,uncertainly and  anxiety.

The goal of fertility yoga is to create optimal health throughout the body, especially in the uterus and pelvic tissues, which then leads to a more conducive environment for conception (Yoga International ).

By regularly practising yoga with moves that specifically help improve your mind-set, the blood flow to your pelvis and release muscle tension, you may experience more success when trying for a baby.

The stress-relieving properties are thought to have helped many couples go on to have children. Stress has a huge impact on your ability to conceive, and yoga is an effective form of relaxation for many.

Fertility yoga is a gentle yoga practice that incorporates breathing, visualisation, positive affirmation  (mantra) and asana (poses).

The workshop will include  a gentle restorative sequence with specific poses that encourage blood flow to the uterus, hips, heart, and other abdominal organs.

These yoga moves promote relaxation, encourage blood flow to the hips, increased circulation and connection to the pelvic area, abdomen and heart.

Saturday 13 July
Time 5.00 – 6.30pm

A full moon is a beautiful time to spend in reflection; noting what serves you and what does not, setting new heartfelt intentions and partaking in a slower more meditative lunar yoga practice.

“Well, what a marvellous night for a Moondance”, sang Van Morrison and I couldn’t agree more.

The dance will be a mindful yoga flow honouring July’s Lunar eclipse.

Lunar eclipses are like full moons on steroids.

In our busy world sometimes our lunar qualities aren’t given space for expression.

Lunar eclipses tend to bring to the surface our internal world.

Goal setting is a powerful process for thinking about your ideal future, and for motivating yourself to turn your vision of this future into reality. It will also inspire you to live a more fulfilled life along the way.

Goals can be for different aspects such as life, career, personal and relationship, health , business and by setting sharp and clearly defined goals you can measure the success and be confident in achievement in tbose goals.

The process of setting goals helps you choose where you want to go in life. By knowing precisely what you want to achieve, you know where you have to concentrate your efforts. You’ll also quickly spot the distractions that can, so easily, lead you astray.

In the workshop , we will commence with and opening meditation circle then explore strategies and tools to define our goals and work on an action plan.

BYO – Journal or note book and pen , light refreshments will be provided

Saturday 4th May 2019
Time 3.00 to 5.00 pm

Cost $30 or book in for Goal Setting workshop as well for $50

A dream board or vision board is a tool used to set and maintain focus on a goal or series of goals.  The first step to creating a vision board is to set your goals and the second step is to display them as images on the vision board.

As life gets busy and we get distracted with many different challenges, a vision board provides us with a greater degree of clarity and purpose.  Visualising our goals enhances our motivation to achieve them as they help us imagine and feel what it will be like once achieved.

Thrive will be running a ‘Create a Dream board’ workshop where you will have an opportunity to set and visually display your goals.  Note that although this happens in a workshop context with other participants, you will be able to set and display your goals on your own vision board (which will be supplied) and will not be compelled to share your goals and vision with others.

In the workshop, we will commence with an opening meditation circle.  Once your goals are set and displayed on your vision board, we will explore aspects of yogic philosophy and set affirmations (mantras) to help quieten the mind.

All material and light refreshments will be provided.

Limited space. To book contact Amy on 0410473996 or email

It is thought that by aligning the practice of yoga with astrology, we can become more attuned to the universe, achieving a deeper state of wellness and fulfilment.

We all know our Sun signs, but we are not one dimensional- you know you are so much more….. From an astrological point of view what does your Trinity of Personality have to reveal or affirm about you?

Delve a little deeper into your ascendant or the mask you wear for the outer world. Listen to the call of your unconscious emotional needs and how you can ‘feed’ them, your moon sign.

Once we delve into the different astrology aspects we get to embody and express our unique energetic combination, our trinity of personality, on our yoga mats.

We will spend the final hour of this two hour workshop with Kirran practicing slow flow yoga with thematic echos and from our individual astrological charts.

ARTS THERAPY WORKSHOP – Cultivating something new

Saturday 16 th March 2019
Time 3.00 to 5.00 pm

COST $35

In this workshop, you will be making art, where the emphasis is on the process of self-expression—one of exploration, curiosity and play—and of self-discovery, rather than on having to create a perfectly developed artwork.

The theme of our workshop is ‘Cultivating Something New’. Aligned with this theme, I will be gently guiding you through a process to create your own nurturing nest or sacred container, using the wide variety of materials that will be available for you to experiment with. Within this nest or sacred container, you will be invited to place a representation of “something new” that you would like to bring into your life, for yourself.

The processes you will experience in the workshop will include guided meditation, making art, written self-reflections and verbal sharing, in an environment of acceptance, kindness and respect.

Limited spaces. To book contact Amy on 0410473996 or email

To be at peace in the busy world we need to detach from our daily routines and rebalance our energies,

One way to achieve this outcome is to experience the benefits that can be gained from spending time in an ashram.

A yoga ashram offering includes traditional aspects of yoga and yogic lifestyle programs.  We would participate in the day program offered at the Ashram that includes morning tea (with fruit), followed by a session of yoga nidra – a relaxation where the body rests and the mind is directed into positive meditation – and then a delicious vegetarian lunch and participate in a yoga class.

Relax, recharge and unwind with this day of yoga at the Ashram… the Rocklyn Ashram  ,which is distinguished by its tranquil setting nestled within the depths and silence of the Wombat State Forest near Daylesford.  Enjoy the numerous walking and bike riding tracks at the very edge of the forest.

The Rocklyn Yoga Ashram (near Daylesford) believe in the vision of sharing a diverse range of wellbeing programs to suit people from all walks of life seeking yogic lifestyle and awareness practices. In a world that is time poor, we believe that individuals need an authentic place of retreat to rediscover inner balance and peace in a natural sustainable environment.

The ashram is nestled within the depths of Wombat State Forest (approximately 90 minutes from Melbourne) and welcome over 5000 visitors per year to experience traditional aspects of yoga and yogic lifestyle programs.

We all hold stress and tension in various parts of our bodies and these lead to pain, discomfort and affects our quality of life. It is quite liberating to be pain free and have our bodies working in optimal condition.

In this unique class we will use balls to massage deeply into high tension areas in the upper torso in the body , then move to some carefully chosen restorative poses to allow the body and mind to achieve a state of deep relaxation and conclude with a guided meditation to seal the practise.
